I’m turning 50 this year and instead of whining about it, I’m trying to do something positive by donating $50 to 50 different charities before I’m 50 years old.
The One Orlando fund was established in the wake of the June 12, 2016 massacre at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. Formed under the auspices of the city and its Mayor, the fund is designed to support non-profits that are helping victims and their families, LGBT and Hispanic organizations in the area, and more.
The Walt Disney Corporation helped to establish the fund with a $1 million donation and is matching, dollar-for-dollar, any donation made by its employees to the fund.
